They settle into the Algarve when the sun stops showing up in northern Europe, play four rounds a week, and head home once spring has already arrived. These three programmes are built for that traveller. Fourteen, twenty-one or twenty-eight nights at Penina, with breakfast, green fees split between the Championship — ten-time host of the Portuguese Open — the Resort Course and the Academy, and the gym included every day. And the usual perk still stands: the same-day second round is free, so the rounds listed below are the floor, not the ceiling. The three programmes add up: anyone who wants six weeks can have them. From there, winter stops being a trip and becomes where you live, with Alvor, its working fishing harbour and three kilometres of beach next door.

Two weeks for little more than one week costs at many Algarve resorts. Eight rounds, four a week, with all the time in the world between them. And two visits to Morgado do Quintão, one per week: the afternoon tasting and the lunch at the long table. The estate is a quarter-hour away, so going there isn't an excursion — it's going out for lunch.

The full month, sixteen rounds and a 10% discount at the Penina Spa for the whole stay. In groups of twenty paying guests, the group leader stays free. Four visits, one each week. By the last one, nobody needs to explain anything to you at the winery any more.

Fifteen minutes away is Morgado do Quintão, the estate the same family has worked since 1810, with its thousand-year-old olive tree and the long table set beneath it. On a month-long stay, it isn't a visit: it's a place you come back to. Each programme carries its own winery experiences within the price, and the ones that aren't included — the cooking class with the chef, which starts at Silves market, or oysters with sparkling wine at sunset — are added whenever you feel like it.
These stays are the skeleton, not the whole trip. On top of them we build whatever you want to experience, booked and quoted firm: Alvor and its working fishing harbour, the boardwalks over the estuary and three and a half kilometres of beach; Portimão and Lagos; the Sagres coast; the resort's own spa; and, fifteen minutes away, everything Morgado do Quintão does besides tastings — the long table under the olive tree, oysters at sunset, or a cooking class with their chef. Handicap certificate required. The three programmes are combinable with each other. The free same-day second round is booked on the course itself, subject to availability. Winery experiences are booked together with the stay and are conducted in English.
A 30% deposit is due on confirmation, non-refundable, with the rest due 45 days before arrival. Cancellation fees: 30% up to 45 days out, 50% from 45 to 31 days, and 100% from 30 days out, for no-shows or early departures. Cancelling within 14 days of booking, with more than 60 days still to go before arrival, refunds everything paid, deposit included. We recommend taking out cancellation insurance.
