There's nowhere to hide. Estela Golf Club stretches over three kilometres of Atlantic dunes, without a single tree, and the north wind is its only defence: the same hole never plays the same two days running. This is a links the way Scotland does it, something that barely exists in Portugal outside the Algarve, and it hosted the Portuguese Open in 1991. The lodge is two minutes' walk from the first tee, with a courtesy transfer to the course and a room to store your bags. No need to take a car to go play, or to come back. It's the most affordable combination in the whole catalogue, and yet the one that surprises first-timers to the north the most. You don't come here for the course to forgive you: you come to play a true links for what a weekend costs anywhere else.

The three stays are the skeleton, not the whole trip. On top of them we build whatever you want to experience, booked and quoted firm: Porto and its Port wine cellars, three-quarters of an hour away; a cruise on the Douro; Guimarães and Braga; northern Portuguese cuisine and its markets; and Póvoa's beach and seafront promenade, right at the door. Tell us who's travelling and what they feel like. Designing your bespoke trip costs nothing: the initial proposal and one revision. From the third version onward, finalising the itinerary costs €100, fully deducted from your trip's price if you book it with us.

Handicap certificate required. The course's own courtesy transfer is provided, and there's a room to store golf bags. On a links, wind is part of the game: tee times aren't rescheduled for it.
A 30% deposit is due on confirmation, non-refundable, with the rest due 45 days before arrival. Cancellation fees: 30% up to 45 days out, 50% from 45 to 31 days, and 100% from 30 days out, for no-shows or early departures. Cancelling within 14 days of booking, with more than 60 days still to go before arrival, refunds everything paid, deposit included. We recommend taking out cancellation insurance.
