The hole everyone remembers is the 7th: a par 5 split in two by a stream that links the lakes on either side. You have to decide on the second shot whether to cross it or lay up, and that decision changes the scorecard. It's the signature hole, and it sums up what the whole course asks of you. Because this is a thinking course. It carries José María Olazábal's signature — two-time Masters champion and Ryder Cup captain at Medinah — and reflects his way of understanding golf: it rewards precision over power. Lakes and streams cross the layout, the bunkers sit exactly where they get in the way, there are dog-legs and elevation changes, and pine forest frames almost every hole. It's the youngest course in the province — it opened in 2010 — and it's laid out like a championship course inside a pine forest, with holes ranging from a short par 3 to a demanding par 5: the round never settles into monotony. It's in Aljaraque, ten minutes from Huelva and right next to Bellavista, so the two can be strung together in the same day.
Two courses in one day. Bellavista is right next door, and both are part of The Six Courses of Huelva, the week that covers the province's six courses without changing hotel.
